Walt Disney encouraged us to pursue our dreams and keep moving forward. Like so many others, our dream has long been to move to Florida and live near Disney. Around here, we speak fluently in Disney movie quotes and song verses. We own too many pairs of Minnie ears (how many is too many?) and put together Disney bound outfits of our favorite characters. Everyone wants us on their team when the trivia is Disney and our loved ones know better than to utter the words, “You’re going to Disney again?”. We may not know who is up for re-election this year, but we know where all the restrooms in each park are.
Disney has always been our happy place. It is the place we reunited with family and made memories, where we went to get away from “adulting” and everyday responsibilities. Like so many current Citizens of Main Street, we knew that we wanted to be part of the magic full-time. To spend evenings catching those last few park hours or attending special events. To spend the weekends strolling around Epcot during the festivals. To finally be home.
We want to take you with us on this journey. We thought about waiting until we were there and living the dream, but we realize the journey to get there is just as important. Maybe you have thought about doing it too. Maybe it’s fun to dream, but you’re perfectly content where you are. Come along with us through the fun, the fear, and the finale. Having you with us, like one crazy Disney obsessed family, is only going to make this experience more amazing for us. Are you ready? Here we go. Don’t forget your ears!
