There is a lot going on in preparation for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort. We have already seen a makeover of Cinderella Castle, details on new nighttime shows and the launch of exclusive merchandise. But there is so much more to look forward to. Now we are getting a glimpse of the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection, a sculpture series coming to the Walt Disney World Resort in celebration of its 50th Anniversary. In honor of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”, 50 fabulous Disney characters will be cast in gold and displayed across the theme parks. We have more details on the “Disney Fab 50” series, including a special behind the scenes look.
The “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection” will be found all around the four theme parks. The Mickey and Minnie sculptures are being dedicated to the Cast Members of the past, present, and future. More character sculptures will be revealed in the coming weeks by Disney friends. They represent Walt Disney World, Disney+, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, D23, Disney Channel, NatGeoTV, Disney Vacation Club, and more. Here are some of the characters we know about so far and where they can be found after October 1st:
